About The Founder
Shri Jagdish Chandra Pant
(1938–2025)
Founder, REACHA Foundation | Retired IAS Officer
Shri Jagdish Chandra Pant was an eminent civil servant, visionary leader, and dedicated social reformer whose lifelong commitment to public service inspired the establishment of REACHA in 1992.
After serving the nation with distinction as an IAS officer of the 1961 Uttar Pradesh Cadre, he envisioned an organization that would bridge the gap between public policy and people's aspirations through sustainable, community-driven development.

Founding Vision
Late Shri JC Pant founded REACHA in 1992 to take impactful development programmes and projects to the people of the country.
He shaped Disaster Management Policy in India as Chairman, High Powered Committee (HPC) in Disaster Management set up by the Prime Minister of the country in 1999. Sri Pant was IAS UP Cadre 1961 batch, who retired in 1996 as Secretary, Government of India
A lifelong contributor to the nation, both as a distinguished IAS Officer and through his visionary leadership at REACHA, Shri Pant was more than just the founder of REACHA.
